Bomet Woman Representative Linet Toto Vows to Break Into Top 10 After Ranking 15th in Infotrak Survey

Bomet Woman Representative Linet Toto has welcomed her ranking as the 15th best-performing Member of Parliament nationwide in the latest Infotrak CountyTrak Performance Index, after attaining a 73 per cent approval rating. She described the result as a testament to hard work and her commitment to serving the people of Bomet.
The latest Infotrak survey, unveiled by CEO Angela Ambitho, was conducted between January and May 2026 and drew responses from 87,286 respondents across all 47 counties, 290 constituencies and 1,450 wards. Citizens rated their elected leaders based on accessibility, visibility, responsiveness, communication and stewardship of public resources, rather than legislative output alone. Ambitho said Infotrak repeated part of the survey in May to validate the findings and enhance the reliability of the results.

Speaking after the release of the rankings, Toto said the achievement marked significant progress from her previous position of 21st, noting that she had deliberately worked to improve her performance after the last survey.
"I was ranked number 21 before, and I promised myself I would improve. I'm happy that I've moved to position 15, and my next target is to be among the top 10," she said.

The legislator thanked the people of Bomet for electing her, the media for covering the event and Infotrak for conducting the annual leadership assessment. She pledged to continue working hard and assured residents that she would not let them down.

Toto attributed the improved ranking to her regular engagement with constituents, saying she spends nearly every weekend on the ground holding public forums to listen to residents' concerns and receive feedback.

She also highlighted her support for community groups through funding initiatives and her education scholarship programme, which has enabled students to join secondary schools and universities, including beneficiaries who attained B+ and B- grades in national examinations.

The Woman Representative added that she regularly hosts public programmes in Bomet town to ensure residents have direct access to her office and services, saying consistent engagement with the electorate has strengthened her relationship with the people and contributed to the improved performance rating.
She said the latest ranking would motivate her to work even harder, expressing confidence that her continued grassroots engagement and development initiatives would propel her into the country's top 10 performers in the next Infotrak survey.
