Kalonzo Musyoka Unveils “Komboa Kenya” Bid, Declares Opposition Unity Push for National Rescue

Wiper democratic partiotic party  leader Kalonzo Musyoka has officially unveiled his presidential bid under the “Komboa Kenya” platform, positioning the movement as a national rescue agenda aimed at addressing Kenya’s economic and governance challenges.
Speaking during the unveiling event, Kalonzo said the country was facing a critical moment marked by economic hardship, unemployment, high taxation, and declining public confidence in leadership. He argued that urgent reforms were needed to restore accountability, constitutionalism, and effective service delivery.

The Wiper Party leader stated that his candidacy was not driven by personal ambition but by a commitment to serve Kenyans and rebuild state institutions. He described the opposition coalition as a “government-in-waiting” ready to take over leadership and implement reforms focused on transparency and inclusivity.
Kalonzo further emphasized youth empowerment, job creation, agricultural transformation, and economic recovery as key pillars of his agenda. He criticized the current state of public services, saying many citizens continue to struggle despite contributing through taxes.

He also called for national unity, urging Kenyans to move beyond ethnic and regional divisions in favour of collective nation-building. According to him, sustainable development can only be achieved through cooperation and shared responsibility among all citizens.

The opposition leader urged supporters to actively participate in the political process through voter registration and civic engagement, saying the “Komboa Kenya” platform was designed to give citizens a direct role in shaping governance.

He concluded by describing the movement as a “revolution of hope,” saying Kenya’s future depends on courageous leadership anchored in the Constitution and the will of the people.

Organisers’ Remarks During the Website Launch

Organisers of the “Komboa Kenya” digital platform launch said the initiative marked a new phase in citizen engagement, describing the website as a bridge between leaders and the public.
They noted that the platform is designed to go beyond information-sharing, allowing Kenyans to access campaign content, leadership messages, and interactive features aimed at strengthening participation in national discourse.

The organisers said the digital hub would help reduce the long-standing gap between citizens and decision-makers by providing a space where Kenyans can raise concerns, share ideas, and engage directly with the movement in real time.

They emphasized that the project reflects a shift toward modern, technology-driven political communication, particularly targeting young people and digitally connected citizens.

According to them, the “Komboa Kenya” website is intended to preserve the movement’s vision, document its journey, and serve as a central point for mobilisation and civic education.

They added that the platform represents an effort to build a more transparent, accessible, and participatory political culture in Kenya, where citizens are not just spectators but active contributors to national development.
