Huge Turnout as UDA Grassroots Elections Continue Across the Country Amid Call for Peace by Chairperson

Voting is currently underway at various parts of the country such as Marani D.O.K Primary School Polling Centre in Marani Ward, Kitutu Chache North Constituency, Kisii County, as the Repeat Phase II UDA Grassroots Elections continue as reporters continue to update more stories

The exercise has been marked by a huge turnout of voters, with party members turning out in large numbers from early morning hours to participate in the internal elections. The strong participation reflects growing interest in grassroots leadership positions and active engagement by party supporters in shaping local party structures.

In Kisumu County, polling stations have recorded particularly high turnout, with long but orderly queues witnessed in several centres. Similar enthusiasm has been reported in parts of Nairobi, Nakuru, Uasin Gishu, Kakamega, and Mombasa, where voters have shown steady participation and commitment to the process. Election officials across these regions have described the exercise as largely smooth and well-organized, with minimal disruptions reported.

Amid the ongoing voting exercise, the UdaiChairperson called for peace, calm, and discipline among all participants. All urged candidates, agents, and supporters to respect the process and avoid any form of confrontation that could disrupt voting.

The Chairperson further emphasized that peaceful participation is key to strengthening the party’s internal democracy and ensuring credible and transparent outcomes. He also encouraged members across all counties to uphold unity and focus on building strong grassroots structures.

As the elections continue in different parts of the country, officials remain optimistic that the process will conclude successfully, with the high turnout seen as a strong indication of growing political engagement within the party.
